The International Joint Commission on Allied Health Personnel in Ophthalmology (IJCAHPO) was established as a nonprofit entity in 1969 with the primary objective of providing certification and continuous education opportunities to ophthalmic allied health personnel. To date, over 26,000 individuals globally have received certification from IJCAHPO.
